Vor zwei Jahren eröffnete Jane Goodall das Outdoor-Klassenzimmer an der American International School Vienna. Mittlerweile ist das „Klassenzimmer“ zu einem kleinen Paradies, nicht nur für die Schülerinnen und Schüler, geworden.
Brian Golden, einer der betreuenden Lehrer erzählt begeistert: „Elementary students at AIS have been discovering the natural world around them by adventuring in the outdoor classroom. Recently, students have been learning about the life cycle of plants and insects through investigations outdoors. Students have also been learning about composting by collecting their bio scraps and adding them to our composter. We’ve also been working to take care of our outdoor classroom, by working together to water and care for the plants that reside there. Of course, we would like to thank Jane Goodall for helping us start our outdoor education initiative.”
